i don't understand the move at all. since we released him after the trade deadline, we no longer are eligible for a 3rd round compensatory draft selection.
so we gave away a 3rd rounder, "rented" him for 4 weeks for millions, and then let him go all for nothing in exchange? it just baffles my mind.
